This Privacy Notice for Tolegra ("we," "us," or "our") describes how we handle your information and your creative work when you use our Services. Our philosophy is simple: Your scripts belong to you. We have designed our technology to ensure your intellectual property stays in your hands.
SUMMARY OF KEY POINTS
Who owns your uploaded scripts? You do. Your script content is your intellectual property. Tolegra does not obtain ownership, copyrights, or any rights to your creative content.
Where is your script stored? Not on our servers. When you upload a PDF, the parsed data is stored only in your local browser’s database on your device. It remains there until you choose to delete it.
What is your responsibility? Because your data is stored locally on your own machine for your privacy, the security of that local data is your sole responsibility.
Do we process sensitive info? No. We do not process information regarding racial origins, religious beliefs, or other sensitive personal data.
1. WHAT INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT?
Your Intellectual Property (Scripts): We believe in the sanctity of the creative process and your right to keep your scripts secure. When you upload a PDF script to our Services:
Ownership: You retain 100% ownership of your intellectual property. We do not claim any rights to your stories, dialogue, or characters.
Storage: Your Creative Work Stays with You. Your script content is never stored on Tolegra servers. To provide our advanced AI voice rendering services while maintaining your privacy, we use a "Local-First" architecture:
Backend Identifiers: We keep only small "digital fingerprints" (cryptographic hashes) of your script on our servers.
Authentication Only: These identifiers are short strings used to authenticate that a request for audio rendering or emotional context parsing belongs to a specific, authorized script in your local database.
Privacy by Design: Because these are one-way hash values, an identifier cannot be reversed or used by Tolegra or any third party to reconstruct or determine the actual text of your script.
Local Processing: The full text of your script is stored exclusively in your local browser’s database, giving you total control over your intellectual property and sole responsibility for it's security.
Deletion: You may delete your local data at any time through your browser settings or the application interface.
Personal Information You Disclose: We collect minimal personal information (such as your email address) only when you voluntarily provide it to register for an account or contact us for support.
Information Automatically Collected: Like most web services, we automatically collect basic technical data—such as IP addresses and browser characteristics—to ensure the security and smooth operation of our Services.
2. HOW DO WE PROCESS YOUR INFORMATION?
We process your information solely to:
- - Facilitate the temporary parsing of your scripts so you can use our Service.
- - Provide and maintain the security of our Services.
- - Communicate with you regarding updates or support.
Note on Security: Since your script data is stored locally on your device, we cannot recover it if your device is lost or your local database is cleared. Keeping your local device and backups secure is your sole responsibility.
3. WHEN AND WITH WHOM DO WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION?
We do not sell your personal information or your scripts. We may only share information in limited business circumstances:
Essential Service Providers: We use trusted third-party services (like ElevenLabs for voice rendering and Gemini for context comprehension) to process lines of dialogue as requested by you. To provide audio performance rendering, specific lines of dialogue are processed via our secure API partners (ElevenLabs and Google Gemini). These snippets, never a complete script, are processed in real-time, and are not used to train their models or stored beyond the duration of the request.
Legal Requirements: We may disclose information if legally required to comply with applicable laws or government requests.
4. HOW LONG DO WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION?
Account Retention: We retain your account information (such as your email address) only for the duration of your active relationship with us.
Inactivity Purge: To protect your privacy, an account is considered inactive 180 days after your last login, at which point your credentials and all backend identifiers will be automatically deleted. To continue to preserve your account, simply log in.
Manual Deletion: You may request immediate account deletion at any time via the Contact Us feature.
The Local Data Exception: It is important to note that deleting your account from our servers does not automatically clear the local database on your machine. Because your scripts are stored locally for your privacy, you must manually clear your browser data or use the "Clear Local Data" feature within the app to remove your local history before your 180 days of account inactivity.
5. YOUR PRIVACY RIGHTS
Regardless of your location, we aim to provide you with total control over your data. You can:
Access and Export: View your script data within the app, using the machine from which you uploaded your scripts.
Delete Everything: You can wipe your local database at any time, which permanently removes your script data from your device.
